Chapter 2:

Ethical Public speaking

Imagine a world where you could do or say whatever you were thinking, where you could use your actions or powers of speech purely to further your own gain or destroy the credibility of another without fear of reprisal. Think of the damage you could do to others, the world, and, for that matter, yourself. Fortunately, laws and moral codes have been put in place over time to help keep people on the path of doing and saying the right thing. These moral codes are known as ethics and they are a crucial part of public speaking.
