Chapter 9:

The Speech Body

As you continue to work on structuring your speech in a manner that clearly relates your central idea to your audience you will want to present your main points in the body of your speech. The number of main point sentences depends on the manner in which your speech is organized. Many speeches have between two and five main points. Main points are then supported by sub-points and sub sub-points just as they are in your preparation outline. The body of the speech is where you apply organizational models to help you arrange your speech.
